This was a treat my mom would always make for the 4th of July! It was one of her favorite summer time desserts! I will be keeping up this holiday tradition! I hope you give it a try! It's sooo goood!!!

Ingredients
- GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- FILLING
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- TOPPINGS
- 4 - bananas, sliced
- 2 - (10 ounce) frozen strawberries, or you can use fresh (sliced)
- 20 ounce cans crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 cups whipped cream, (or cool whip if you prefer)
- - maraschino cherries
- - chopped nuts
How To Make mom's banana split dessert

Step 1Prepare the graham cracker crust, by pouring melted butter over cracker crumbs. Mix and press into a 9 x 13 glass dish. Chill while preparing filling.

Step 2Prepare filling. Beat together powdered sugar, butter, egg and vanilla, until light and fluffy. Beating for about 5 minutes.

Step 3Spread filling over cracker crumb crust.

Step 4Now layer the banana slices over the powdered sugar mixture. Next layer the strawberries on top of the bananas. Then the drained pineapple, on top of the strawberries.

Step 5Top with whipping cream, and garnish maraschino cherries and chopped nuts.

Step 6Refrigerate for 6 hours before serving. Enjoy!
