This is another fluffy fruit salad that my mother has made every year at Christmas as long as I can remember. It just aint Christmas without Mom's Fluff! Very pretty in a glass bowl, and the red and green marischino cherries really make this festive. However, the green is optional as this would be good ANY time of the year!

Ingredients

  • 1 - package of miniature marshmallows
  • 15 ounces can of crushed pinapple- undrained
  • 2 cans mixed fruit cocktail- drained well.
  • 2 - crts. cool whip
  • 1 jar red maraschino cherries-drained well
  • 1 jar green maraschino cherries-drained well
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (opt)

How To Make marshmallow fruit fluff

  • Step 1
    In large serving bowl, stir marshmallows, undrained pineapple, and fruit cocktail until mixed well. Cover and refrigerate overnight! (This allows the pineapple juice to soak the marshmallows so they will expand)
  • Step 2
    Day 2: Drain any remaing liquid from the bowl using a collander. There shouldn't be much. Return back to bowl and fold in both cartons of coolwhip.
  • Step 3
    Fold in nuts and drained cherries into mixture last. Serves a crowd!!
