Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    sponge cake
  • 1 box
    lemon or lime jello
  • 6
    egg yolk
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2
    limes or lemon juice
  • 2
    lime or lemon zest, grated
  • 3/4 c
    water boiling
  • 6
    egg whites
  • 3/4 c
    sug

How to Make LEMON SOUFFLE

Step-by-Step

  1. Line bottom of springform pan with sponge cake
    Mix jello with water, cool til beginning to jell
    Beat yolks til thick, add juice and
    1/2 of sugar.
  2. Cook stirring til thick as custard, cool
  3. Beat egg whites stiff with remaining sugar
  4. Combine Jello and yolks and beat til blended and fluffy
    Fold in whites Pour into sponge cake lined pan
  5. Chill and unmold
