Around Thanksgiving time I have lots of apples leftover from making pies for chruch, friends & family. I love fresh baked apples. This is a qucik & yummmy way of getting rid of leftover apples.

Ingredients

FILLING:

3 large
apples peeled,cored & coarsely chopped
1/2 c
sugar
1/4 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
1- 2 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1/4 c
butter, cut into small pieces

TOPPINGS:

1 pkg
oatmeal cookie mix
1/2 c
butter, melted
1/2 c
walnuts, chopped

How to Make Kit's Apple Apple Crumble

Step-by-Step

  • 1First pre-heat the oven to 300F. Spray the bottom & sides of a 8 inch square baking dish. Then in a large bowl, toss the filling ingredients together. Then spread the mixture in the baking dish.
  • 2Next in the same bowl mix the cookie mix & melted butter until crumbly. Then sprinkle over the filling.
  • 3Then bake for about 40 mins or until bubbly. Remove from the oven & sprinkle with the nuts. Return to theoven & bake for about 15 to 20 minslonger or until is golden brown. Best serve warm.
