This recipe has been in our family for over 100 years; I found it in my grandma's recipes years ago. I hope your family can enjoy this recipe as much as mine has through the years.

    sliced apples
  • 2 Tbsp
    water or butter, put in baking dish
  • ·
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    butter or oleo
  • pinch

How to Make Great Great Aunt Sophie's Apple Crisp


  1. Slice apples, place in baking dish, sprinkle with cinnamon. Cream flour, sugar, butter, and salt. Put over apples.
  2. Bake at 375 or 400 degrees for 1/2 hour.

    Serve with or without cream topping.
