Ingredients

  • 4 medium sized, firm pears
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup gingersnap crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • - half and half

How To Make ginger pear dessert

  • Step 1
    Peel and core the pears. Cut them in half lengthwise.
  • Step 2
    Place the pears, cut side up, in a buttered 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Pour the juice over the pears.
  • Step 3
    Combine the crumbs, sugar, pecans, and butter. Sprinkle over the pears.
  • Step 4
    Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Serve with half and half.
