  • 4 medium
    sized, firm pears
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice
  • 1/2 c
    gingersnap crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped pecans
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • ·
    half and half

How to Make Ginger Pear Dessert


  1. Peel and core the pears. Cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. Place the pears, cut side up, in a buttered 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Pour the juice over the pears.
  3. Combine the crumbs, sugar, pecans, and butter. Sprinkle over the pears.
  4. Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Serve with half and half.
