  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    quick-cooking oats
  • 2/3 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 c
    chunky applesauce, i used unsweetened
  • 2/3 c
    dried cranberries
  • 1/2 tsp
  • dash(es)
    ground cloves

How to Make Fruity oatmeal bars


  1. Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 9" x 2" baking pan w/ cooking spray. In bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda.
  2. Cut in butter until mix resembles coarse crumbs. set aside 1/2 cup of mix. Press remaining mix into bottom of pan. In another bowl, mix together applesauce, cranberries, cinnamon and cloves.
  3. Spread applesauce mix over crumbs in pan. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over applesauce mix. Bake 30 mins, or until top is golden. Cool. Cut into bars.
