SOUR CREAM CRUST
2 Tbspsour cream
1/2 cbutter (1 stick)
1 qtthinly sliced fresh peaches
1 cgranulated sugar
3 largeegg yolks
1/3 csour cream
1 tsppure vanilla extract
1 dash(es)rum extract (optional)
How to Make FRESH PEACH TART (SALLYE)
- TO MAKE CRUST:
Combine the flour, sour cream and salt in a large mixing bowl and mix well with wooden spoon.
Cut in the butter until dough is crumbly.
- Preheat oven to 375º
Lightly spray or oil a 9" x 9" cooking dish or pan.
Press teh dough mixture into the bottom of baking dish.
Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven.
- TO MAKE THE TART:
Remove the pit and thinly slice the fresh peaches (do not peel)
Arrange the peaches over the baked dough.
- Combine the sugar, egg yolks, sour cream, flavorings and salt in a mixing bowl
Beat at low speed until blended.
Ladle over the peaches.
- Return dish to preheated oven.
Bake for 45 minutes .
Remove from oven and let stand until cool before serving.
