this is one of the most popular desserts I take to functions, when we have cover dich dinner at church or with friends.

1 1/2 c
crushed pretzels (blender works great}
1 c
chopped pecans
1/2 c
3/4 c
butter, melted
1 8 oz
cream cheese
1 8 oz
container cool whip
1 15 oz
can dark sweet pitted cherried drain
1 8 oz
can crushed pineapple
2 3 oz
boxesblack cherry jello


1preheat oven to 350 line 13X9 pan with tin foil
In medium bowl combine crushed pretzels with the melted butter. and pecans. press in the bottom of the pan bake for 15 minutes cool completely
2In a medium bowl mix cream cheese and sugaruntil creamy. then add cool whip pour over crust and chill
3in a large mesuring cup combine reserved pineapple juice and cherry juice {drain The fruit}add enough water to make 3 cups of liquid add 2 boxxes or jello bring to a boil. remove from heat and cool add cherries and pineapple place in refrigerator. when it starts to thicken pour on top of cream cheese mixture.
4when completely cool cut into squares and top with whip cream
