active dry yeast

sugar

salt

flour

cherry pie filling or any other of your choice

milk

sugar
1/2 c
margarine
4 tsp
flour

How to Make Cherry Kuchen

Step-by-Step

  • 1Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add rest of ingredients.
  • 2More flour may be needed. Knead the dough like bread. Let rise.(1 hour)usually doubled Pumch. Let rise. (1 hour)
  • 3Divide into two pieces. Press into sprayed pans. Pour on cherries or topping of choice. Let rise
  • 4Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • 5Topping: Remaining ingredients
    Mix and cook until thick over medium heat stirring constantly. Watching for scotching.
