This cherry dessert has traveled down from my mom to me and now to my daughter. It is a family favorite that we always have at Easter time.

Ingredients
- 40 large marshmallows
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 1/4 cups whipping cream, unsweetened
- 1 1/3 cups graham crackers, crushed
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 - 2 cans cherry pie filling
How To Make cherry dessert

Step 1Dissolve 40 marshmallows with 1-1/4 cup milk then cool.

Step 2Whip the whipped cream (Cool Whip can be substituted). Stir/fold into the cooled marshmallow mixture.

Step 3In a separate bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with 1/3 cup melted butter and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Pat into a 9x13 dish, reserving approximately 1/3 cup for topping.

Step 4Pour 1/2 of the marshmallow mixture over the crumbs in a 9x13 dish.

Step 5Spoon cherry pie filling over this as desired.

Step 6Pour the rest of the marshmallow mixture over this. Top with reserved crumbs. Refrigerate overnight.
