The recipe called for vanilla extract, but I was out, I substituted the rum and butter extract. They came out so delicious.

  • 4 medium
    apples, your choice
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    butter extract
  • 1 tsp
    rum extract
  • ·
    cinnamon to taste
  • ·
    sugar to taste
  • ·
    slivered almonds for garnish

How to Make BUTTER RUM BAKED APPLES

Step-by-Step

  1. Core apples and place in a microwavable covered dish.
  2. Add water and butter/rum extract.
  3. Generously sprinkle apples with cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Cover and microwave 6 to 8 minutes on high until apples are tender. Slice and enjoy.
