butter rum baked apples

The recipe called for vanilla extract, but I was out, I substituted the rum and butter extract. They came out so delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, your choice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • - cinnamon to taste
  • - sugar to taste
  • - slivered almonds for garnish

How To Make butter rum baked apples

  • Step 1
    Core apples and place in a microwavable covered dish.
  • Step 2
    Add water and butter/rum extract.
  • Step 3
    Generously sprinkle apples with cinnamon and sugar.
  • Step 4
    Cover and microwave 6 to 8 minutes on high until apples are tender. Slice and enjoy.
