butter rum baked apples
The recipe called for vanilla extract, but I was out, I substituted the rum and butter extract. They came out so delicious.

- 4 medium apples, your choice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon butter extract
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
- - cinnamon to taste
- - sugar to taste
- - slivered almonds for garnish
How To Make butter rum baked apples

Step 1Core apples and place in a microwavable covered dish.

Step 2Add water and butter/rum extract.

Step 3Generously sprinkle apples with cinnamon and sugar.

Step 4Cover and microwave 6 to 8 minutes on high until apples are tender. Slice and enjoy.
