Drain the peaches & reserve 1 cup of the juice.
Place peaches in a sterilized 1 quart glass jar.
Boil the reserved peach juice until it is reduced to 1/2 cup.
Add 1/2 cup of the sugar & 1/2 cup of the brandy to the juice. Mix well. Add the almond extract & let cool.
Pour the brandy syrup over the peaches in the jar; & seal.
I normally make them at least two weeks before I give them away or eat them.... they go good with ham! OR by them self.
