Ingredients
- 2 cans peach halves (1 lb. 13 oz.each)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup peach brandy
- 3 to 4 - drops of almond extract
How To Make brandied peaches
-
Step 1Drain the peaches & reserve 1 cup of the juice. Place peaches in a sterilized 1 quart glass jar.
-
Step 2Boil the reserved peach juice until it is reduced to 1/2 cup. Add 1/2 cup of the sugar & 1/2 cup of the brandy to the juice. Mix well. Add the almond extract & let cool.
-
Step 3Pour the brandy syrup over the peaches in the jar; & seal.
-
Step 4I normally make them at least two weeks before I give them away or eat them.... they go good with ham! OR by them self. THE LONGER THEY SIT THE BETTER THEY ARE!
