This is from the hidden back region of Betty's recipe boxes. Sounds rich and potent. It's hand written so give me an opinion on a couple of directions and tell me what you think it wants.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brew( i think this is a cup of brewed coffee)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peaches (well drained and diced)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries (well drained)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup pineapple (well drained)

How To Make betty's brandied fruit

  • Step 1
    Place this in large container that you can seal and store for awhile. 1 cup brew, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup drained diced peaches. Mix and cover.
  • Step 2
    It doesn't say if this is to be stored at room temperature or not. But several people I have talk to said they kept theirs in the cabinet.
  • Step 3
    TWO WEEKS LATER: Add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup well drained cherries and store.
  • Step 4
    TWO WEEKS LATER: Add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup well drained pineapple. Store.
  • Step 5
    TWO WEEKS LATER: Brandied fruit!
