Ingredients
- 3 large baking apples
- 1/3 cup coarsely ground almonds
- 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
How To Make baked apples with honey and almonds

Step 1Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the apples in half lengthwise and remove the core and stem end.

Step 2Place the apples cut-side up in a shallow baking dish. Combine the almonds, brown sugar, and butter and divide evenly into the center of each apple, mounding as needed.

Step 3Combine the orange juice and honey in a glass measuring cup and microwave 30 seconds to warm slightly and dissolve the honey. Pour over the apples.

Step 4Bake 35-45 minutes or until the apples are fork tender and the topping is browned.
