aurelia's cherry dessert
This recipe was one of the first desserts I learned how to make. My first mother in-law Aurelia Bell taught me how to make this when I was a very young newlywed who had no idea how to cook let alone back. It has continued to be a family favorite through the years.

Ingredients
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 package dream whip, prepared as directed on package
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can wilderness cherry pie filling
How To Make aurelia's cherry dessert

Step 1CRUST: Combine 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, 3 Tablespoons powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Then stir in 1/4 cup melted butter. Press into bottom of square pan. Chill 15 minutes.

Step 2Filling: Prepare 1 package dream whip as directed on package. Then beat in 8 oz. softened cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Pour over graham cracker crust. Chill 15 minutes.

Step 3Cover with pie filling and chill overnight.

Step 4NOTE: you can use any type of pie filling.
