Apple Rice Toffee

Ingredients

2 ccooked rice or whole wheat

4 csliced apples
-
1/4 cbrown sugar

2 Tbsplemon juice
-
1 tspgrated lemon rind
-
·toffee mixture:
-
1/2 call-purpose flour
-
3/4 cbrown sugar
-
1 tspground cinnamon
-
1/2 cbutter or margarine
How to Make Apple Rice Toffee
- Mix together all of the ingredients. Turn into a buttered 9 x 9 inch baking dish. Add 1/4 cup of water. Cover apples and rice completely with Toffee Mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
- Toffee Mixture:
- Combine together all ingredients but the butter. Cut the butter into the mixture until the size of small peas.
Serve with milk, evaporated milk, half and half or cream.
