Another diabetic dessert recipe I came across in my book. Good for the holidays for those that cannot have all the sugar. Enjoy

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen peaches, diced
  • 1 cup splenda
  • 3/4 cup plus 3/4 tablespoon whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup smart balance margarine
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla

How To Make all natural peach squares

  • Step 1
    Prepare the filling: Bring the peaches, 1/2 cup splenda, 3/4 tablespoon flour, and 3/4 cup water to a boil in a double boiler. Stir continuously until thickened.
  • Step 2
    Prepare the crumb base and topping: Combine oats, margarine, 1/2 cup splenda, 3/4 cup flour, baking soda, and vanilla; halve the mixture. Place half in the bottom of a 9 inch square baking dish. Layer the thickened filling on top. Add the remaining crumb base to the top. Bake 350º for 30 minutes.
