I love warm rice pudding on a cool evening! You can add raisins to this if you'd like; just stir in 1/4 cup of raisins before pouring into dessert bowls.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cold, cooked rice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- - 2 drops yellow food coloring (optional)
- - dollop of whip cream (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
How To Make old fashioned rice pudding

Step 1Combine rice, sugar, butter, salt, cornstarch, vanilla extract, milk, food color and nutmeg into 1-quart sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly.

Step 2Let cool slightly; pour into dessert cups and allow to cool completely.

Step 3Garnish with a dollop of whip cream and sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon.
