A friend of mine found this recipe years ago. I love it because the strawberries are sweet.

Ingredients
- - 1 baked 9" pie shell
- - 1 1/4 cups water
- - 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- - 1 cup sugar
- - 1 (3 ounce) box strawberry jello
- - 1 (10 ounce) container sweetened frozen strawberries
- - cool whip or sweetened whipped cream
How To Make strawberry pie

Step 1Combine water, cornstarch, sugar and jello. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened (about 10 minutes). Add strawberries. Immediately, pour into baked pie shell. Refrigerate until set. Just before serving, garnish with cool whip or sweetened whipped cream.

Step 2Note: If the strawberries are only partially thawed, the filling will set up quickly.
