This simple dessert was a recipe given to me by a co-worker many years ago. I love recipes with a few ingredients and this one fit that requirement. When we first began making it we would even take time at work to prepare pies that went home with everyone for their evening dessert. It was a great way to enjoy our comrades while preparing for our family time.

Ingredients For simple cheesecake

  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese (3oz)
  • 1 pkg
    whipped topping (6oz)
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 can
    crushed pineapple
  • 1
    graham cracker pie crust

How To Make simple cheesecake

  • 1
    Allow cream cheese to warm to room temperature for easier mixing.

    In large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, whipped topping, sugar, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

    Add drained pineapple to mixture and combine throughly.

    Once mixed throughly, spoon into pie crust. Top with extra pineapple if desired.

    I have tried this recipe with strawberries. The base mixture also works when topped with cherry, apple, or blueberry pie filling. It has been a hit at potlucks and family dinners.
