This was the first fresh fruit pie I ever made. I got the recipe from a Bon Appetit magazine in the 70''s. However, I used my Granny Leda's pie crust since it was the best. This is not your typical mushy peach pie.I think you'll like it.

fresh sliced peaches
juice of 1/2 of a lemon
butter cut into bits
unbaked pie crusts
How To Make
Mix peaches, sugar, lemon, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour into crust.
Dot top with butter.
Seal edge of crust with juice or water.
Slit top of pie to let juice steam out
Baste top with milk, sprinkle with sugar
Cover edge of crust with foil.
Bake 45-50 minutes, removing foil for last 15 minutes.
