1963 Recipe from Home Economics Teacher Mina Robinson of Kansas. This recipe was recommended to me by a good friend who was also a home economics teacher in West Virginia.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cups shortening
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - egg, well beaten
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

How To Make never fail pie crust

  • Step 1
    Cut shortening into flour and salt. Combine egg, water and vinegar.
  • Step 2
    Pour water into flour mixture all at once. Blend with spoon just until flour is moistened.
  • Step 3
    Crust can be handled easy and can be re-rolled without toughening. Keeps in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
