1In medium bowl, combine cornstarch, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in vanilla and butter. Fold in pie filling. Pour into crust.
2Streusel: In medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Add butter and use a fork to blend ingredients until mixture is crumbly. Add nuts. (If using a food processor, combine ingredients and pulse until crumbly). Sprinkle mixture over top of pie.
3Bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until topping is browned.
Note: I prefer to place the pie on the bottom rack because I think the pie crust will brown better.
