1/4 tsp
salt
1 1/2 c
milk (scalded)
1 c
light cream( scalded)
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 tsp
nutmeg

How to Make Country -Kitchen Custard Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Chill pie shell thoroughly.
  • 2Beat eggs slightly, beat in remaining ingredients except nutmeg.
  • 3Pour into well chilled pie shell with high fluted edges, sprinkle nutmeg on top.
  • 4Bake in hot oven400 degrees until silver knife inserted comes out clean. 25-35 minutes.
  • 5(Baking too long makes a watery custard pie.) Cool on rack for 30 minutes then refrigerate till ready to serve.
