1/2 c
heavy cream
2 Tbsp
quick=cooking tapioca
1 c
sugar
1/4 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/4 tsp
cinnamon
2 tsp
lemon juice
5 c
applel (diced) i used gala
2 Tbsp
butter
pastry for 2 crust pie

How to Make Country Apple Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine cream, tapioca, sugar,salt, and spices in a bowl.
  • 2Add thinly sliced apples and toss to mix.
  • 3Spoon half of mixture into pastry lined pie pan.
  • 4Fill around edges and pack well.Dot with butter.
  • 5Add remaining apple mixture. Adjust top crust and flute edges' cut vents. Brush top lightly with milk.
  • 6Bake in hot oven 400 degrees 50-60 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
