A cousin of mine gave me this chocolate cobbler recipe and honestly it is the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter, unsalted
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water

How To Make chocolate cobbler

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter in an 8x8 baking dish while the oven preheats. Stir together the flour, 3/4 C. sugar, 1 1/2 T. cocoa.
  • Step 3
    Stir in milk and vanilla till smooth. Spoon this mixture over the melted butter. Stir together the remaining cup of sugar and 1/4 C. cocoa powder.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle over the batter mixture. Slowly pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 30 minutes.
