chocolate dulce leche banana cream pie
I love a caramel Banana pie I make quite often. I thought I would create an easier pie. I added chocolate and used a ready crust for this pie. It is delicious! It was very well received by my critic's at home. This pie is full of Banana's, Caramel, and chocolate. It is topped off with Whipped cream and Walnut's. Enjoy all!

How To Make chocolate dulce leche banana cream pie
-
Step 1Slice the bananas in to a bowl. Toss with lemon juice. Cover and set aside.
-
Step 2In a sauce pan. Mix the butter with the Brown sugar. Bring to a boil on high heat stirring constantly. Boil until all of the sugar is dissolved about 2 to 3 minutes.
-
Step 3Add the can of condensed milk. Stir and bring to a boil once again. While it is boiling it will start to thicken up. It should take about one minute. When it gets thick pour into pie shell.
-
Step 4Take about half the banana slices and push them into the Caramel Sprinkle with half the walnuts.
-
Step 5Make the ganache combine the chocolate chips and cream place in a microwave safe bowl. (Or in a sauctpan on stove) Heat in microwave on high about 30 seconds. Remove from microwave stir well until some of the chocolate is melted into the cream. Put back in microwave heat another 30 or 40 seconds. Remove and continuously stir vigorously until chocolate is blended well with the cream and smooth. If not smooth pop back in my microwave and cook another 10 to 20 seconds. Take back out and stir well again. It should be piping hot and smooth. Let cool slightly before topping the pie.
-
Step 6Pour over Caramel and bananas. Smooth well evenly. Add almost the rest of the banana slices. Push slightly down on the bananas so they sink into the chocolate a little bit. Place in fridge until caramel is set.
-
Step 7Make your whip cream. in a bowl beat cream with sugar and coffee until soft peaks form. If using canned whipped cream skip this step
-
Step 8Remove pie from fridge when pie is set. 2-4 hours. Top with whipped cream remaining banana slices, chopped walnuts and shaved chocolate if desired.
