9 Cup Holiday Apple Pie

I used a 10-12 inch Pie tin that I had saved from a previous pie purchase @ Sam's Club. I used a bit of a different technique in putting it together & it worked out just great.
My husband enjoyed it so much I will not mention how many pieces he had once it cooled. If you love Apple Pie you will love this recipe.
You can top it with your favorite Ice Cream, or eat it plain, you will not be disappointed any way you slice it. Give it a try, it's a great dessert any time of the year.

Ingredients

1double crust refrigerated pie crust (or home made)

1 largeegg

1 Tbspwater

2 Tbspwhite decorators sugar crystals (optional) or use regular sugar

7 mediumgranny smith apples, peeled cored & sliced thinly

3 lbred or golden delicious, gala apples,jona gold, peeled cored & sliced thinly

1 csplenda brown sugar, firmly packed

1 1/4 cregular splenda granular

3 Tbsplemon juice

1 Tbspapple pie spice ( or use 2 tsp cinnamon & 1 tsp nutmeg)
