1Combine shortening and chocolate in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Add sugar, stirring well. Remove from heat, and cool. Stir in eggs and amaretto
2Combine flour and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Pour batter into a lightly greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 400* for 20 minutes; cool. Frost with Amaretto frosting. top with almonds and cut into 2 inch squares..
3Amaretto Frosting: 1/4 C. butter, 1 square of unsweetened chocolate, 2 Tablespoons half and half, 2 1/2 Cups powdered sugar, dash of salt, ad 2 Tablespoons Amaretto liqueur.. Combine butter and chocolate in heavy pan cook over low heat until melted, stir in half and half and powdered sugar, salt and Amaretto stirring until thick enough to spread..Enjoy!
