A simply easy, delicious peach shortcake recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 pound ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 pound ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • - whipped cream for serving

How To Make sweet peaches shortcake

  • Step 1
    Bake biscuits as directed, let cool, split biscuits in 1/2. In lg skillet, over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar until bubbly.
  • Step 2
    Add peaches. Cook, stirring for 5 mins. In lg cup, whisk together cornstarch and orange juice. Stir into peach mix. Cook 2 mins or until thickened.
  • Step 3
    Place biscuits on plates. Spoon some peach mix onto each biscuit half, top w/ biscuit 1/2. Spoon more peach mix over biscuits, dollop w/ whipped cream.
