These are easy and tasty. They are a great way to use up extra jelly and preserves. I am a canner and use my homemade peach preserves for these.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 jar peach jam 12 oz
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

How To Make peach jam bars

  • Step 1
    preheat oven to 350. grease a 13x9 inch pan. mix dry ingredients into a large bowl. cut butter into dry ingredients until it resembles course crumbs.
  • Step 2
    pat 2/3 of mixture into bottom of prepared pan. cover with room temperature jam.
  • Step 3
    cover jam with remaining crumb mixture. bake for 40 minutes at 350.
  • Step 4
    remove from oven and allow to cool for several minutes but cut into bars while still warm.
