Ingredients

  • CRUST

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • FILLING

  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon zest
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • TOPPING

  • ·
    powdered 10x sugar

How to Make LEMON BUTTER BARS

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
    Combine all crust ingredients in a bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often.
    Press into bottom of ungreased 8" square baking pan.
    Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  2. Combine all filling ingredients except powdered sugar in a bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often. Pour filling over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking 15-20 minutes or until filling is set.
  3. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm and again while cool. Cut into bars to serve.
