Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • FILLING
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • TOPPING
  • - powdered 10x sugar

How To Make lemon butter bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Combine all crust ingredients in a bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often. Press into bottom of ungreased 8" square baking pan. Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  • Step 2
    Combine all filling ingredients except powdered sugar in a bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often. Pour filling over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking 15-20 minutes or until filling is set.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm and again while cool. Cut into bars to serve.
