Decided to try this on a whim one night. They tend to come out a bit crunchier than if you were to bake them but grilling them just seemed appropriate.

prep time 20 Min
cook time 30 Min
method Grill
yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • - skewers (bamboo works best)
  • 5 - apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter, melted

How To Make grilled apples

  • Step 1
Core and slice the apples as you see fit. Skewer the apple slices. You want to try and get between nine and 10 slices per skewer.
  • Step 2
Melt the butter. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon to the melted butter and stir. Brush over the skewered apples.
  • Step 3
Grill each side of the apples over medium low heat. The sugar should just start caramelizing. Brush any remaining sauce or the apples just before you take them.
  • Step 4
Serve as it is, with ice cream, or with your dessert of choice.
