Ingredients

3 cfresh apples
-
1/3 cdried cranberries
-
1/3 clight brown sugar
-
1/2 tspcinnamon
-
1 tspcorn starch
-
1 Tbspcold water
-
1 1/2 ccrushed lady finger cookies
-
1/2 ccanola oil
-
1 pkgphyllo dough sheets
How to Make Apple Turnovers
- slice apples and put in pan to saute, add cranberries, cinnamon and brown sugar. saute for about 10 minutes.
- meanwhile dissolve cornstarch in cold water, then add to apple mixture, cook until thickened.
- peel apart phyllo dough into separate sheets. using one at a time brush with oil, sprinkle crushed cookies then add another sheet, do this for three sheets.
- make 4 even slice long ways on sheets, place 2 tablespoons apple mix onto one corner of dough, roll up into triangles, brush with oil, refrigerate until you have all of the sheets done.
- bake at 350 for twenty minutes
