Ingredients
- - 1 20-oz can sliced apples
- - 1/2 cup raisins
- - 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- - 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- - 1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs - about 3 or 4 slices- lighty toasted and crumbled
- - 2 tablespoons butter
- - 1/4 cup orange juice
How To Make apple raisin brown betty

Step 1Combine apples, raisins, and 1/4 cup of the brown sugar in a casserole dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 2Combine the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar with butter and bread crumbs. Working with fork or pastry blender, combine until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples in dish and drizzle with orange juice.

Step 3Bake in a 375 degrees oven for about 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
