Ingredients
- 3 cups tart apples, diced (about 3 large)
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 12 - egg roll wrappers
- - oil for deep frying
- - icing sugar
How To Make apple hand pies

Step 1Combine diced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle with lemon juice and mix well.

Step 2Place 2 heaping tablespoons of filling in the center of each egg roll wrapper. Fold in the sides and roll the wrapper tightly. Use a dab of water to secure the tips of the wrapper.

Step 3Preheat oil to 350 degrees. Fry each roll for about 4-5 minutes or until brown and crispy. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve warm.
