This is my husband Tim's favorite cookie recipe.He make every year at Christmas time. The kids love love love them.

Ingredients

  • 2 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour. we do 2 cups
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 12 oz
    chocolate chips and butter scotch chips

How to Make Tim's chocolate chip, butter scotch, oatmeal cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350
    Beat together butter & sugars until creamy. Add eggs & vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt; mix well. Stir in oats & chips; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack or wax paper. makes about 48 cookies
