1 stick butter
3 ounce cream cheese
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
few drops of lemon juice
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
chopped pecans

How to Make Tassies


  • 1Blend softened stick of butter and cream cheese.
  • 2Add flour, orange rind, lemon rind and few drops of lemon juice.
  • 3Make pastry into 36 little round balls and put one of each in a ungreased miniature muffin tin.
    With your thumb spread each around the tin to form a cup.
  • 4Mix egg, brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon butter and vanilla.
    Spoon into each pastry cup.
    Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  • 5Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until just done.
