Ingredients

3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 - eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 ounces choc candy mint wafers (two 6 ounce bags)
1 cup whole walnut halves

How To Make starlight mint surprise cookies

Step 1

Cream sugars and butter. Add eggs and vanilla.

Step 2

Sift dry ingredients together and add eggs-sugar mixture to dry ingredients.
Step 3

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Put a spoonful of dough down first. Add a mint and place another spoonful of dough on top of mint. Press lightly to seal the mint surprise.
Step 4

On to dough press a full half walnut or two quarter peices. Bake at 350 degres oven for 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing to a cooling rack.
