1Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together butter, sugars, egg and molasses until creamy. Sift together dry ingredients and blend into creamy mixture, stir in crystallized ginger. Roll into 1 1/2" balls, roll in raw sugar, flatten slightly with bottom of a glass or palm of your hand. I like to sprinkle a little extra raw sugar onto center of cookie after flattening, before baking.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
