My husbands grandmothers recipe and a family favorite.

  • 2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 c
  • 2
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 1/4 tsp
  • 2 tsp
  • 3 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 - 1 c
    optional walnuts or raisins

How to Make Spice Cookies


  1. Cream sugar,crisco ,eggs ,milk together
  2. Then add in dry ingredients, Mix. You can also add chopped nuts,raisins
  3. Drop by spoonful on to parchment covered cookie sheet or lightly greased.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 -12 minutes until edges are turning brown.
  5. When cool you can icing.
