1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
1 - egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts or coconut (optional)

How To Make speedy oatmeal cookies

Step 1

Stir until smooth Brown Sugar, Shortening, Egg, Baking Soda, baking powder,salt and Vanilla.

Step 2

Add flour,Oatmeal and nuts or coconut. Stir until smooth.
Step 3

Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet
Step 4

Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes
