    brown sugar
  • 1 c
  • 1
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    nuts or coconut (optional)

How to Make Speedy Oatmeal Cookies


  1. Stir until smooth Brown Sugar, Shortening, Egg, Baking Soda, baking powder,salt and Vanilla.
  2. Add flour,Oatmeal and nuts or coconut. Stir until smooth.
  3. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet
  4. Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes
