Every snickerdoodle recipe I've found calls for cream of tartar; since this is an ingredient I do not normally have a use for, I was searching for a recipe that does not call for this. I found it!! Plus, they are delicious! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- TOPPING
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

Step 1Cream butter; add sugar & mix thoroughly.

Step 2Sift flour, baking powder & salt; stir into mixture.

Step 3Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts & roll in mixture of sugar & cinnamon.

Step 4Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 5Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 400 degrees
