OK ITS A RAINY DAY IN NEW YORK N HUBBY WANTS COOKIES N I HAVE TIME AND I HAVE A HANKERN FOR SOMETHING CHOCOLATE NO SOMETHING VERY VERY CHOCOLATY SO DARK CHOCOLATE BISCOTTI WAS THE FIX THAT WAS NEEDD...CAME OUT VERY GOOD N SATIFIED MY CHOCOLATE URGE...AND THE HUSBAND INHALED QUITE A FEW ;)....ENJOY :)

- 2 cups dark chocolate chips....divided
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate cocoa powdr
- 1 1/2 teaspoons bakn powder
- 1/4 teaspoon bakn soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup lt brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softnd
- 1/2 teaspoon each. vanilla n almond extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup almonds, chopd fine n lightlytoastd
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons espresso powdr
