russian tea cakes
My Mother made these at Christmas for as far back as I can remember. We always ate them first......probably not real healthy with all that butter, but OHHHHH are they good!

Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
How To Make russian tea cakes

Step 1Blend together butter, vanilla and powdered sugar.

Step 2Sift together flour and salt and mix with first mixture.

Step 3Stir in walnuts

Step 4Chill dough.

Step 5Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2&1/2 inches apart on ungreased sheet. Bake until set but not brown. While sill warm, roll in powdered sugar. When cool roll in powdered sugar again.
