neiman's $250 cookie recipe
In November 1987 a woman lunched at Neiman Marcus Dept. Store. For dessert she had a cookie which she enjoyed so much she asked if she could have the recipe. The waiter said yes but it will cost $2.50. The woman agreed to charge it to her account. Her statement came in showing $250.00 for the recipe so she promptly vowed to get them back. She copied and distributed it to everyone she saw (in Fort Worth). Apparently, I have been corrected. This is not a true story, but an urban legend, please forgive my ignorance.
