This was my Grandmother's recipe for oatmeal cookies. It is a cross between a shortbread and an oatmeal cookie, and very delicious! For years all we would ask for for birthdays, or Christmas was to have our own batch of these delicious cookies! Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups old fashioned oatmeal

How To Make muz's oatmeal cookies

Step 1

Mix all ingredients as you would a pie crust.

Step 2

Form small balls; Place on ungreased cookie sheet
Step 3

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, depending on your oven.
