moms butter cookie recipe (very versital)
This is my Mothers Butter Cookie Dough I also use this for cut out shape cookies, for Black Raspberry Tart Cookies, and the Candy Cane Cookies this dough is versital.

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make moms butter cookie recipe (very versital)

Step 1Sift flour, baking powder, and salt set aside.

Step 2Cream butter and sugar.

Step 3Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well.

Step 4Blend in dry ingredience gradually

Step 5Divide dough in half, add 2 teaspoons of red food coloring to 1/2 dough blend in well.

Step 6Refrigerate both portions 1 hour.

Step 7Using one teaspoon of red dough roll into rope, do the same thing with white dough twist together make a hook in top you now have a candy cane.

Step 8bake on lightly sprayed cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 14 minutes, remove from cookie sheet to racks.
