My Mom's cookie recipe. My favorite.

Can be made Vegan substitute Earth's Balance for butter. Still yummy.

  • 31/2 c

    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/3 c
    chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Margie's Powdered Sugar Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Blend in vanilla. Add flour, cream until fluffy. Stir in chopped nuts.
  3. Roll out dough to 1/4" thickness. Cut out with cookie cutter.
  4. Bake 10-14 minutes.
  5. Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes. Then cool on wire rack.
  6. Using a sieve, sprinkle more powdered sugar on top of cookies.
  7. Enjoy!!
